Garden Grill, The Grand Hotel

The Grand Hotel in Eastbourne, part of Elite Hotels, is delighted to announce the unveiling of The Garden Grill, a beautiful space with high ceilings, period style, a lively and informal atmosphere, and exceptionally pleasing modern takes on traditional British favourites.

The Garden Grill offers all-day dining, with breakfast served from 7am – 10:30am daily, plus lunch and dinner (and anything in between) served from 12.30pm – 8.30pm daily. The focus is very much on dining to suit everyone: the restaurant has an airy feel, an animated but relaxed ambience, and extremely appealing children’s and plant-based menus. The ingredients used include the finest locally-sourced fresh fish and the best produce from Sussex farms.

Whether you’re a guest at The Grand Hotel or simply looking for a great choice when eating out in Eastbourne, The Garden Grill’s all-day dining concept allows the freedom and flexibility to organise your activities day by day, to suit yourselves. So, if the Towner Art Gallery keeps you lingering for longer than you expected, or the sea air leaves the kids exhausted and in need of an earlier supper, there’s no need to worry, and there’s no need to miss out on a memorable and delectable mealtime – an important highlight of any break. Without constraints, your timings can evolve organically, giving you real freedom from timetables that may not normally suit everyone!

Executive Head Chef, Hrvoje Loncarevic, has a distinguished signature style. Influenced by cuisines from across the world, he adds his own unique spin to create exquisite dishes.

Hrvoje comments: “Our dishes are designed to be more accessible to a broader audience, including families. At the Garden Grill, we aim to become a real culinary hotspot in our region, offering everything from classic British favourites to exquisite locally-sourced cuisine. We take great pride in sourcing our ingredients close to home, ensuring the freshest catch, and also showcasing our considerable commitment to reducing our carbon footprint.”

Notes to Editors
The Grand Hotel, one of the only five-star seafront hotels in the UK, is affectionately known by locals as ‘The White Palace’; it is superbly located, overlooking the town’s Victorian promenade, just moments from the sea. The hotel has hosted many famous names over the years, including Sir Ernest Shackleton, Charlie Chaplin, classical composers Debussy and Elgar and, more recently, Dame Helen Mirren. It has 152 bedrooms and suites, all luxuriously furnished, and many with sweeping sea views, balconies, or private patios; others have adjoining rooms which work very well for family stays.

The hotel boasts two excellent restaurants – The Mirabelle, as well as The Garden Grill, overseen by Executive Head Chef Hrvoje Loncarevic – plus a stylish cocktail bar, elegant lounge areas for enjoying Afternoon Tea, and a Health Suite Club with indoor and outdoor pool (open May – September) along with treatment rooms.

A small, independent UK-based hotel group, Elite Hotels has invested in some of the UK’s most beautiful historic houses since 1986. The first of these was Tylney Hall Hotel, Hampshire, followed by Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, East Sussex, and The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne. Each of the three Elite Hotels is a member of Small Luxury Hotels, a prestigious consortium representing over 500 of the best independent hotels in 70 countries.
