The British Guild of Travel Writers’ Dinner

Travel PR’s table at the British Guild of Travel Writers’ annual black-tie dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel on Sunday 4th November included clients Sunvil and CV Villas.
The journalists joining us this year were Michelle Jana Chan, Chris Leadbeater, Pól Ó Conghaile and Mike Unwin.

Travel PR sponsored the BGTW Travel Writer of the Year (won by Adrian Phillips for articles in National Geographic Traveller and Beastly Journeys: Unusual Tales of Travel with Animals) and BGTW Travel Blogger of the Year (won by Kirstie Pelling for The Family Adventure Project).

Travel PR client CV Villas also sponsored an award: Best European (non-UK) Feature over 850 words. The winner was Ben Lerwill for ‘Paris: The City of Artisans’, published in National Geographic Traveller, July 2018.

Our Founder Director, Sue Ockwell, also made an impassioned speech to the assembled guests, urging the travel industry to play its part in the global war on plastic pollution.

Several of our clients (Ffestiniog Travel, GIC The Villa Collection, HolidayCottages.co.uk and Hoshino Resorts) generously provided prizes for the charity raffle, which this year raised funds for The Family Holiday Association:

Thank you everyone for their support, and to the organisers of yet another great British Guild of Travel Writers‘ Awards Dinner.

Travel PR are a joy to work with. They understand their clients and media contacts well, and are always super-responsive when needed. I always take notice when they contact me as they never waste my time with anything irrelevant. All in all, a great team who have my trust and respect.
