The British Guild of Travel Writers’ Dinner

Travel PR’s table at the British Guild of Travel Writers’ annual black-tie dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel on Sunday 3rd November included clients AITO, Kirker Holidays, Sunvil and Visit Alentejo.
The journalists joining us this year were Juliet Rix, Tristan Rutherford, Gabrielle Sander and Xenia Taliotis.

Travel PR sponsored the BGTW Travel Writer of the Year (won by Emma Thomson for articles in The Sunday Telegraph and National Geographic Traveller) and BGTW Travel Blogger of the Year (won by Kirstie Pelling for The Family Adventure Project).

Travel PR client Sunvil also sponsored an award: Best European (non-UK) Travel Feature. The winner was Adrian Phillips for ‘All Along the Watchtowers’, published in National Geographic Traveller, June 2019.

Our Founder Director, Sue Ockwell, also made an impassioned speech to the assembled guests, urging the travel industry to play its part in carbon offsetting. To watch the speech, please click here.

Our client Hoshino Resorts generously provided a prize for the charity raffle, which this year raised funds for the LATA Foundation.

Thank you everyone for their support, and to the organisers of yet another great British Guild of Travel Writers‘ Awards Dinner.
