The AITO Summer Press BBQ 2018

Members of The Association of Independent Tour Operators (AITO) and 113 journalists came together yesterday evening for the annual summer BBQ, held at the British Library in central London for the second year in a row. This year, the terrace was glowing in the relentless sunshine that this summer heatwave has provided.

In addition to the fabulous food, drinks and conversation, the World Cup match (England vs Columbia) was shown on the big screen. As things heated up, this networking press event went into overtime, concluding with a joyous uproar when England won in a tense penalty shoot-out.

AITO Travel Writer of the Year Awards – enter today!

Next up on the media calendar for AITO is the hotly-contested Travel Writer of the Year Awards. Entries should be submitted by 6pm on Tuesday 1 August. The shortlisted entrants will be announced on AITO.com on Wednesday 12th September. The awards will be presented at this year’s AITO Meets the Media event, to be held between 3pm and 6.30pm on Tuesday 16 October 2018 at Radisson BLU Portman Hotel, London.
