Seaham Hall spa launches new partnership with Sundãri

Durham’s beautiful five-star boutique hotel Seaham Hall – refurbished to the tune of £2M – and its superb 44,000 sq ft state-of-the-art oriental-themed spa are excited to be partnering with luxury Ayurvedic spa range, Sundãri.

On 23 September, the hotel’s award-winning Serenity Spa will launch Sundãri, a carefully-curated collection inspired by Ayurveda, the 5,000-year-old science from India. Meaning ‘beautiful skin’, Sundãri has been created from the purest ingredients and rarest essences distilled from all over the world.

Davina Hassell, Seaham Hall’s spa director, says: “We have chosen to partner with Sundãri to complement the Asian-influenced therapies on our existing treatment menu, which blend well with the Feng Shui-based principles and décor of the spa. With the Sundãri skincare range and Ayurvedic-inspired treatments, we have created bespoke spa experiences that deliver a feeling of peace and tranquillity, taking our spa guests on an exquisite journey, for the mind as well as the body.”Sundari_Seaham_Hall

Sundãri takes a holistic approach to beauty and wellbeing based on the ancient healing wisdom of Ayurveda. The therapies go back to nature and use traditional healing remedies to allow mind, body and spirit to gain balance in a world of stress and challenges. Sundãri enables you to reconnect with your inner self and encompasses a core philosophy: inner wellbeing reflects outer beauty.

The Sundãri treatments use many indigenous herbs, spices and botanicals, and warm blends of Neem oil – pressed from the fruits and seeds of the Neem tree, known in India as the ‘pharmacy tree’ – for the centuries-old method of ‘oil pouring’ and Abhyanga (oil massage).

Together with a range of facial and body treatments, including two specifically designed for mothers-to-be, Seaham Hall’s Serenity Spa has introduced several spa day options, featuring up to four Sundãri rituals, along with full use of the extensive spa facilities and a two-course lunch at the pan-Asian Ozone restaurant.

Rachel Sleeman from Sundãri, says: “It’s been a pleasure sharing the philosophies and knowledge behind Sundari with the team at Seaham Hall’s Serenity Spa.They have been so responsive to the ideas behind Sundãri that we are hugely confident that Seaham Hall’s clientele will relish the new range of treatment options.”Shirodhara_Seaham_Hall

The 44,000 sq ft Serenity Spa comes complete with a 20-metre pool, 17 therapy rooms – with an extensive range of tempting treatments – plus a hammam with walk-in snail showers, ice fountain, outdoor hot tubs and much more.

Travel PR are a joy to work with. They understand their clients and media contacts well, and are always super-responsive when needed. I always take notice when they contact me as they never waste my time with anything irrelevant. All in all, a great team who have my trust and respect.
