Seaham Hall Charity Nominated for Pride of Britain Award

Five-star Seaham Hall, Durham, is proudly supporting The Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust

Seaham Hall – the boutique five-star hotel steeped in history and charm – is proud to announce a new charity partnership with The Solan Connor Fawcett Family Cancer Trust, a Durham-based charity created to help people affected by cancer, helping to improve their quality of life and providing help and advice for cancer patients and their families.

The charity, based in Spennymoor, County Durham, has a special place in the hearts of the Seaham Hall team and, with its support, the charity is increasing awareness throughout the wider area of County Durham, giving something back to the community.

Charity founder Mark Solan was recently named ITV Tyne Tees Fundraiser of the Year, and was shortlisted for a Pride of Britain award 2017 for ‘Regional local fundraiser of the year’, his charity having supported hundreds of people affected by cancer by helping them deal with essential things like household chores, funeral costs and specialist equipment.

Seaham Hall aims to raise awareness and funds for this worthwhile charity to help support the local community. It will be running a number of initiatives to do so, including providing raffle prizes, promoting the charity to its spa members, taking donations and collections as well as promoting its cancer touch therapy treatments – special spa treatments for people diagnosed with and recovering from cancer.

Seaham Hall is looking forward to helping improve the lives of local families through our new partnership. For us it is about dedicated actions and not simply giving money.”
