Robin Pope Safaris celebrates ten-year anniversary of Pumulani Beach Lodge

Malawi’s most exclusive beach lodge turns ten this summer – Celebrate with a saving of over £780 per person.
This summer, Robin Pope Safaris celebrates the ten-year anniversary of Pumulani, its remote and extraordinarily beautiful beach lodge beside Lake Malawi. To mark this milestone, a special anniversary trip has been devised (for independent travellers), with an astonishing one-off celebratory discount available for travel between 1 July and 31 October 2018 only.
The new ten-night Pumulani Anniversary Safari – spread between Zambia and Malawi – combines three Robin Pope Safaris properties and three completely different experiences:
- Three nights in Zambia’s teeming South Luangwa National Park
South Lunangwa is one of the last unspoiled wilderness areas and possibly the finest wildlife sanctuary in Africa. The meandering Luangwa River, with its ox bow lagoons, runs through it, and the woodland and plains of the valley host huge concentrations of game – including elephant, buffalo, leopard, lion, giraffe and hippo. Luangwa River Camp, on the banks of the river, has just five romantic bush suites and overlooks the visiting game across the river. - Three nights at brand new Kuthengo Camp in Malawi’s lush Liwonde National Park
Opening on 27 April 2018, this eagerly-awaited, intimate camp has four spacious safari tents. Each en suite abode has an outdoor shower, a bathtub, double basins, and state-of-the-art ‘evening breeze’ air-conditioned beds, plus a private deck. Liwonde is a virtually untouched national park which promises adventurous game drives and walking safaris and peaceful boat cruises. The diverse environments – riverine, grassland and Mopane Woodlands – are home to hippo, crocodile, elephant, buffalo, endangered black rhino, antelope and cheetah. - Four nights at Pumulani on Lake Malawi’s blissful shores
The lodge consists of just ten villas and stands beside the startlingly blue waters of Lake Malawi, famously named by Livingstone as ‘The Lake of Stars’ (which guests can see for themselves at night via a computer-controlled telescope). Days can be spent by the infinity pool or by the beach pool, relaxing on your private deck, or taking a slow cruise aboard a traditional dhow.
The ten-night Pumulani Anniversary Safari spends three nights at Luangwa River Camp in Zambia, three nights at Kuthengo Camp and four nights at Pumulani (both the latter are in Malawi). The cost is from £3,568 pp (based on two sharing) – a saving of £788 pp – including full-board accommodation, all transfers (starting in Lusaka, Zambia and ending in Lilongwe, Malawi), most drinks, activities (except motorised water sports) and laundry. International flights not included. Offer valid July – October 2018 only.
