Pride of Britain Hotels, the consortium of 49 privately-owned independent British hotels, had several reasons to celebrate at last night’s 2014-15 AA Hospitality Awards.

Dormy House in Broadway won the prestigious AA Hotel of the Year – England. Blending original Cotswolds features with more modern, Scandinavian touches, the hotel boasts two celebrated restaurants and an award-winning House Spa.

In London, The Capital hotel’s highly-esteemed seafood chef Nathan Outlaw, of the Michelin-starred Outlaw’s at The Capital, was awarded AA Chefs’ Chef of the Year.

In Wales, The Grove, Narberth won the AA Wine Award – Wales and along with its Yorkshire counterpart, The Devonshire Arms Hotel and Spa, was awarded 3 AA Rosettes for its culinary excellence.

Finally, Bovey Castle and Buckland Tout-Saints – two Devon-based Pride of Britain members – jointly celebrated the AA Small Hotel Group of the Year accolade that was awarded to The Eden Collection.

Says Peter Hancock, Chief Executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, “We are thrilled for all Pride of Britain members for achieving success at the highly-respected AA Hospitality Awards, especially given the large number of high-quality hotels and restaurants they were up against.”

The Pride of Britain collection of independent hotels spans the UK.  Admission to the group is subject to each hotel successfully passing an anonymous overnight inspection and a ballot of the membership.  The consortium is limited to a maximum of 50 hotels to guarantee quality and exclusivity.

To book an overnight stay, and for the best available price, call Pride of Britain Hotels on 0800 089 3929 (www.prideofbritainhotels.com).

I have worked with Travel PR for almost 20 years - during which time they have helped to facilitate access to a wide range of clients, tourist boards, destinations and tour operators. While the contours of travel have inevitably changed during that time, Travel PR have been a constant. I have always found them to be professional, helpful, and easy to deal with.
