Pride of Britain Hotels scoop 10 Prestigious AA Awards
Pride of Britain Hotels is delighted to announce that 10 member hotels within its 50-strong UK luxury hotel collection have picked up prestigious awards at the AA Hospitality Awards 2019/2020. Members have also been awarded five-star ratings for the first time.
Grove of Narberth in Pembrokeshire has been named AA Hotel of the Year – Wales, for exemplifying a superb privately-owned luxury hotel. The property already holds three AA Rosettes for its restaurant, The Fernery, and is perfectly situated for guests to explore the Pembrokeshire coastline.
Two Pride of Britain Hotels properties have been awarded five AA Red Stars – The Torridon, an impressive Victorian former hunting lodge set in 60 acres in the Scottish Highlands, and Seaham Hall, an historic Georgian country house with views to the Durham Heritage Coast.
Cornish hotels The Nare and The Headland Hotel & Spa now both hold five-star ratings and The Montagu Arms in Hampshire and Maison Talbooth in Essex have both been awarded four AA Red Stars.
In addition, The Dining Room at Whatley Manor in Wiltshire, Hrishi at Gilpin Hotel & Lake House in Cumbria and Gravetye Manor in Sussex have all been recognised for their outstanding cuisine, each with four AA Rosettes.
Says Peter Hancock, Chief Executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, “We are thrilled with the recognition that 10 of our stable of 50 Pride of Britain members have achieved at the highly-respected AA Hospitality Awards, especially given the large number of high-quality hotels and restaurants against which they were pitched.”
