Peter Sommer Travels partners with The University of Liverpool for a unique ‘Knowledge Transfer Partnership’

Archaeological and cultural tour specialist Peter Sommer Travels has signed a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with The University of Liverpool’s Department of Archaeology, enabling an exceptional graduate from the department to work with the expert travel company in a mutually beneficial collaboration.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnership programme is a UK-wide, Government-funded scheme, designed to encourage active relationships between universities and businesses. The scheme allows companies to access universities’ valuable expertise, as well as providing meaningful practical experience for a high-calibre graduate in an interesting and stimulating environment.

This six-month KTP is the very first to be agreed between a business and archaeologists; a graduate (the KTP Associate) from the university will work with Peter Sommer Travels to assist in the development of new cultural tour itineraries in the Mediterranean, including the company’s very first venture into Malta.
