New Northern Lights Flight with The Aurora Zone

The UK’s original Northern Lights holiday company, The Aurora Zone, is offering a spectacular NEW Northern Lights flight option which provides the opportunity to hunt for the Aurora Borealis above the clouds.

During the winter months, cloud cover can sometimes obscure the Northern Lights when hunting at ground level, so taking to the skies is the perfect solution. Providing an extraordinary vantage point and lasting for around an hour, the new Northern Lights flight climbs above any potential cloud cover for the chance to enjoy some incredible views of the Northern Lights from the comfort of a small private jet (capacity for seven people). Should the Aurora appear, you will have the best seats from which to spot nature’s ethereal show.

The Northern Lights Flight is priced separately (from £376 pp) as an additional part of the four-night Rovaniemi Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge trip to Finnish Lapland. Based at the Arctic Circle Wilderness Lodge, just a short transfer from Rovaniemi, stay in pristine wilderness overlooking the Raudanjoki River and snow-laden forests. As night falls and the inky black skies appear overhead, it is clear why this is one of the best Aurora viewing locations in Finland.

Accommodation is in the hotel’s Stella House log cabin which features several cosy bedrooms and a communal lounge area. Guests have the option to upgrade to the detached Panorama Huts, which sleep up to three guests and feature floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the snow-covered forest. Winter-warming Lappish cuisine is served in the main building, which boasts roaring log fires, and guests can also hire the riverside sauna and hot tub for their own exclusive use. Winter activities which are part of the itinerary include a snowmobile safari into the forest, a daytime husky safari, a Northern Lights search by snowmobile, an evening snowshoe hike and a reindeer safari under the night sky.
