Join master mixologist Lloyd Brown for an evening (or weekend) of gin cocktail making and tasting on the coast

The Alexandra Hotel and Restaurant, a boutique bolthole on Dorset’s Jurassic Coast, launches cocktail-making masterclasses with mixologist Lloyd Brown. Brown will combine gins from well-known distillers including Sipsmith with locally-sourced ingredients and spirits such as Liberty Fields, produced on a nearby farm.

Master Mixology Cocktail Evening – from £20 per person
Dorset-based mixologist extraordinaire Brown will showcase three gin-inspired cocktails and will explain the history of gin, the art of mixology and what makes a great gin cocktail. After a Sipsmith Gin and Tonic, there will be tastings of the distillers Sloe Gin, Lemon Drizzle Gin and London Cup. Locally-inspired cocktails will include the Bridport Dagger (with ginger beer, gin, lime, cassis and Liberty Fields Apple Balsamic Vinegar) and an Ooser (with gin, lemon, basil, soda and blaeberry jam), named after the Dorset mythical beast. The Master Mixology Cocktail Evening (Friday 23 February) costs £20 per person, including three cocktails and nibbles.
