Huge commute, lots of overtime and no salary – InsideAsia Tours asks applicants to apply for a new dream job

Our Stories
Dream Job

Specialist tour operator, InsideAsia Tours, is searching for three pioneering ‘temp employees’ to travel-test a range of exciting new destinations that it plans to launch in late 2020: South Korea, China, Malaysia and Borneo.

The lucky appointed applicants will be given the dream job of embarking on a free two-week adventure to one of these amazing countries – alongside a plus one – to experience a range of cultural activities and physical challenges, getting to grips with these incredible destinations and what’s on offer for visitors –   from famous sights to unknown gems.

Whilst the new team can’t expect to be paid or given a long-term contract, the idea is that, ahead of their trip, they will work with InsideAsia’s Travel Consultants to design their very own dream itinerary – whether they fancy meditating with monks deep in Songnisan national park in South Korea, trekking through Borneo’s rainforest to the Maliau Falls, or perhaps supping local brew in the foothills of the Huangshan mountain range in eastern China.

A wide range of accommodation is also there for the taking – perhaps they’ll choose to experience five-star luxury at a hotel in buzzing Shanghai, daily life in a traditional Hanok House in Jeonju or stay in a lodge on the edge of the lush Borneo rainforest. As with all InsideAsia trips, the test-travellers will get the chance to see some of the famous sights of the countries alongside cultural experts, and will meet with local insiders to sample more off-the-radar spots.

In return, the temporary team will provide InsideAsia Tours with travel tales, photographs, video and plenty of feedback on the best – and worst – bits of their trip, and what needs to be changed or improved for future fellow intrepid explorers.

InsideAsia Tours plans to officially launch the new destinations as part of its 20th anniversary celebrations in late October this year.

Applications for one of the dream jobs are open to all. Simply visit www.insideasiatours.com/dream-job to register interest and complete the application form. Applications are open now, and close on Saturday 29 February 2020.
