CV Villas adds NEW destinations and properties for 2020

Luxury villa holiday specialist CV Villas has added 70 highly desirable new properties to its portfolio for 2020, as well as launching two new Greek islands, Zakynthos and Meganissi, as part of its programme.
From a romantic couples’ retreat on Kefalonia’s southwest coast, to a grand private residence on Barbados’ exclusive Sandy Lane Estate, here are details of the new selection of properties added to CV Villas’ enviable offering for 2020:
Introducing ZAKYNTHOS
Transparent turquoise waters, spectacular wilderness and mountainous limestone cliffs form the backdrop to the island of Zakynthos, a villa holiday paradise. Spend a day on the water exploring hidden coves, paddle board around the rugged coastline, venture out to the uninhabited isle of Marathonisi – ‘Turtle Island’, home to endangered loggerhead turtles, and snorkel through the Blue Caves off the harbour of Skinari. Then, in the evenings, feast on fresh fish, the tastiest of tomatoes, home-cooked moussaka, perfect lamb kleftiko in pretty village tavernas.
Stay at Villa Aurora – above the port of Agios Nikolaos
A high-end hillside retreat nestled on the eastern slopes of Volimes village, Villa Aurora enjoys serene views of the Ionian Sea. This minimalist four-bedroomed property features modern interiors using local materials, floor-to-ceiling windows which drink in the views, and an open-plan kitchen and living room for ultimate relaxation. Each bedroom is en-suite with a large private balcony, and the luxurious master room has its very own private outdoor Jacuzzi. A huge poolside terrace boasts a stunning infinity pool, another Jacuzzi, lounge areas, and an al fresco dining space. Agios Nikolaos beach is just a 600 m walk away.
A week’s stay costs from £621 pp (eight sharing – £4,966 total), with daily maid service included. Flights extra.
Introducing MEGANISSI
An under-the-radar alternative to its sister island Lefkada, the Ionian isle of Meganissi is home to a population of just 1,000. It is no wonder that this wonderfully unspoiled island has attracted A listers such as Prince William and Bruce Willis – without any busy resorts, it’s scattered with quaint whitewashed villages, quiet beaches and fragrant forests. A villa holiday here is ideal for slowing down and fully embracing island life, enjoying a week (or two) of complete relaxation.
Stay at Villa Saloma – on Meganissi’s glorious northeast coast
With an uninterrupted panorama of turquoise seas and forested peaks, Villa Saloma’s standout views are its crowning glory. This single-level four-bedroomed property has been designed with these views firmly in mind – with a gorgeous infinity pool, generous terrace and ocean-view bedrooms all facing the azure vistas. Contemporary interiors feature floor-to-ceiling sliding doors, a modern kitchen and an almost too comfortable corner sofa. Immediately below the villa, there is direct access to a rocky beach and shared bathing platform, plus another shingle beach a short walk away. The traditional villages of Vathy and Katomeri, with excellent Greek tavernas and shops, are just a 2 km walk.
A week’s stay costs from £418 pp (eight sharing – £3,340 total), including daily maid service. Flights extra.
BAY OF ST. TROPEZ: Villa Vignoble
This quintessentially French rural hideaway, located close to Grimaud and St Tropez, has recently been refurbished, combining traditional country house architecture with spotless contemporary interiors. With six bedrooms set across two floors – and an annexe – there’s space for a couple of families holidaying together or a big group of friends, with the option of renting the property next door for an even larger group. Outside, a covered dining terrace and heatable pool are set amidst the house’s grand lawned gardens.
A week’s stay costs from £349 pp (13 sharing – £ 4,536 total), with maid service (on three days weekly) included. Flights extra.
PUGLIA: La Pupazza
A fine example of contemporary local design, this stone-built house, with its vaulted ceilings, blends traditional materials with very individual décor, perfectly in keeping with its coastal setting. The villa’s four bedrooms are stylish, with comfortable soft white furnishings, while outside a broad veranda features al fresco seating and dining areas, an outdoor kitchen, infinity pool, and panoramic countryside views. Beaches and chic beach clubs are within easy reach, with Gallipoli, Nardo and Lecce a short drive away for a choice of cultural day trips.
A week’s stay costs from £325 pp (eight sharing – £2,596 per week), with maid service (on three days weekly) included. Flights extra.
BARBADOS: Moon Dance
Indulgently tropical and grand, this six-bedroomed residence sits within two acres of beautiful gardens, overlooking over the Sandy Lane Estate’s 8th hole, and enjoys use of the resort’s private beach and facilities. A huge kitchen and spacious open plan living/dining area offer relaxed luxury while, outside, a dining terrace, pool, Jacuzzi and gazebo-covered bar provide plenty of space for entertaining. Four of the bedrooms sit in the main house, while a separate cottage features a further two, plus its own private living and dining area.
A week’s stay costs from £925 pp (12 sharing – £11,100 total), with daily maid, laundry and chef service (cost of ingredients not included). Flights extra.
KEFALONIA: Despina
A delightful couples’ retreat on the island’s southwest coast, this one-bedroomed villa offers sea views, contemporary design and a superb al fresco dining area and fire pit overlooking the pool. Sandy beaches, a bakery, mini market and first-class family-run tavernas are a short walk away, making it ideal for a car-free break.
A week’s stay costs from £448 pp (two sharing – £895 total), including maid service (on two days weekly) included. Flights extra.
