Calcot & Spa is named Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year 2019

Pride of Britain Hotels is delighted to announce that Calcot & Spa in the Cotswolds has been named Pride of Britain Hotel of the Year 2019 for delivering outstanding hospitality in all areas including service, accommodation, housekeeping, food and overall luxury.
The charming golden stone manor is set within 220 acres of meadowland near the picturesque town of Tetbury in Gloucestershire. There are 35 individually-designed rooms and suites, located both within the main house and spread around a Cotswold stone courtyard. Two dining options are available: the main restaurant, The Conservatory, offering seasonal, locally-sourced produce, with panoramic countryside views, and The Gumstool Inn, Calcot’s own village-style pub, located adjacent to the main house and offering real ales and hearty pub food.
Calcot Spa features an outdoor hot tub, surrounded by lavender hedges and overlooking an open wood fire, an indoor pool, sauna, steam room, fully-equipped gym and seven treatment rooms, each with its own style and colour palette. Guests can enjoy complimentary bicycle hire to venture into the Cotswolds or explore the expansive grounds, which feature tennis courts, a children’s playground, mini football pitch and woodland gymnasium. There is an Ofsted-registered crèche for little ones and The Mez, which features the latest games consoles and a 12-seater cinema, for children aged eight and over.
The hotel schedules an array of unique experiences throughout the year, with upcoming events including a chocolate tasting and interactive talk on the history of the sweet treat, with renowned chocolatier Matthieu de Gottal (16 May; £35 pp), and a June Gin Workshop, with guests crafting their own 20cl bottle of gin (6 June; £40 pp).
Peter Hancock, Chief Executive, Pride of Britain Hotels, says: “Each year, our member hotels receive multiple visits by mystery guests appointed by the collection. Calcot & Spa was singled out for its exceptional hospitality amongst an impressive shortlist.”
A one-night stay at Calcot & Spa costs from £209 per room total/ £105 pp (two sharing), including full English breakfast. Contact Pride of Britain Hotels (0800 089 3929, www.prideofbritainhotels.com).

Travel PR are a joy to work with. They understand their clients and media contacts well, and are always super-responsive when needed. I always take notice when they contact me as they never waste my time with anything irrelevant. All in all, a great team who have my trust and respect.
