Our Stories

Travel PR was proud once again to sponsor the British Guild of Travel Writers annual Travel Writer of the Year Award.

At a sparkling reception dinner at London’s Savoy Hotel, Sue Ockwell, Travel PR’s founder and Managing Director, presented the award to this year’s winner, Jonathan Thompson for a series of articles in the Daily TelegraphEscapismMetro and the Guardian.

The articles were on topics ranging from Shackleton in Antarctica, Chicago’s High Line park, Venetian cookery classes, the marriage match corner in Chengdu and the links between Jamaica, Ian Fleming and James Bond.

Travel PR hosted a table of clients and journalists at the event co-sponsored by the Pas-de-Calais and Armenian tourism.

Here’s a full list of award-winning writers from this year’s competition.
