Pembrokeshire
Creampots Touring Caravan & Camping Park – formerly a dairy farm, Creampots offers 61 pitches for caravans, motorhomes and campervans. Nearby, explore Pembrokeshire’s many gems – including the National Trust’s Stackpole Estate, the beach at Barafundle Bay, Pembroke Castle (the birthplace of Henry VII) – or why not book a boat trip to visit the puffins on Skomer Island?

Dorset countryside
Whilst Dorset is well known for its stunning Jurassic coastline, heading inland means discovering bucolic countryside and chocolate-box thatched cottages. Set in an area of outstanding natural beauty in Cranborne Chase is Church Farm, a family-run campsite perfect for motorhomes as well as tents and caravans. Located just 300m from the village of Sixpenny Handley, the campsite is set on an arable farm close to the village shops. Further afield, explore prehistoric Stonehenge and the cathedral city of Salisbury.

North Yorkshire Moors
Set in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors, Rosedale Abbey Caravan Park is located in Rosedale Abbey village, where once a Cistercian Priory stood. The caravan park has 70 motorvan pitches with electric hook-ups, plus showers, a launderette and a children’s play area. In August, the village holds The Rosedale Show (21st August 2021), one of the oldest agricultural shows in North Yorkshire, with livestock, vintage tractors, a gymkhana, outdoor sculptures and terrier races. Wonderful walks abound in the local area, and the village offers plentiful good pubs and tearooms.

Lancashire’s Ribble Valley
Undoubtedly one of Lancashire’s most tranquil and eco-friendly campsites, Wilcocks Farm Caravan Site is situated on the edge of Rivington Country Park, gateway to the West Pennine Moors – an area of Special Scientific Interest spanning 90 square miles. The secluded site welcomes up to 22 caravans and motorhomes at a time; sheep, cattle, hens and pygmy goats are kept on site, and there is stabling used by local horse owners. The sustainable site is powered by a wind turbine and boasts views of Winter Hill. Nearby, visit the pretty village of Rivington, try a forest adventure course with GoApe, fish in local reservoirs or enjoy browsing the wares at Heskin Hall Antiques.

Scotland
Located in SW Scotland and benefiting from a Gulf Stream-induced microclimate, Drumlochart Holiday Park – near Stranraer, in Dumfries & Galloway – has its own fishing loch and an outdoor swimming pool. Local activities include horse riding, kitesurfing, golf and climbing to the top of the Mull of Galloway Lighthouse for sensational views across Scotland’s most southerly point.

Kent
Located in Flimwell, in the heart of the Kentish countryside, Cedar Gables is a small, tree-flanked campsite with a footpath leading to Bewl Water – a huge reservoir, and an ideal spot for walking, cycling, fishing and sailing. On site there are showers, a children’s playground and electric hook-ups. The campsite is ideally located for exploring Bedgebury Forest and its cycling and running tracks, 14th century Scotney Castle, plus the historic towns of Royal Tunbridge Wells and the Cinque Ports of Rye and Hastings.
