Aspects Holidays, which has been providing self-catering breaks in Cornwall for over 25 years, has launched its new brochure of nearly 400 specially-selected holiday homes across St Ives, Carbis Bay, Marazion, Mousehole, Penzance and Sennen.

Keen to suit everyone, Aspects Holidays offers a wide variety of properties, from modern sea-facing apartments to traditional cottages and larger houses for bigger groups and families. Long or short stays, rural or coastal, romantic or active, there’s a wide range of desirable homes-from-home sleeping up to 13 people.

There’s also a selection of last-minute Christmas and New Year deals available for a blast of fresh air and wonderful walks plus foodie treats.

New and noteworthy properties for 2015 include:

Roll out of the lounge and straight on to the beach – Porthmeor, St Ives

9 Piazza (sleeps three), an iconic 1960s ground-floor apartment, has striking sea views and its own private entrance. Home to a number of distinguished St Ives artists – past and present – 9 Piazza is next door to the St Ives School of Painting and Porthmeor Artists’ Studios, and only 100 yards from the Tate Gallery and Porthmeor Beach Café. Comprehensively refurbished in 2013, with under-floor heating in all rooms, the apartment combines Sixties’ styling with innovative, locally-made furniture by an award-winning Cornish design studio. Oh, and it has its very own Dame Barbara Hepworth sculpture in the courtyard. A week’s stay costs from £153 pp (£460 total).

Cornish bolthole for two – Mousehole

What used to be a former store for the local Penlee lifeboat has now been turned into a tasteful bolthole for two. Located moments from the harbour, the Old Rocket Store (sleeps two) retains elements of its original character and heritage. Boasting the rare advantage of private parking, relax on the decked terrace whilst enjoying the stunning views over St Clement’s Isle and the sea. Explore the idyllic fishing village with its maze of cobbled streets, restaurants, pubs and local shops, making a stay here an ideal Cornish getaway. A week’s stay costs from £167 pp (£334 total).

Play the lord or lady of the manor – Porthmeor, St Ives

Captain’s House (sleeps ten), which was completely refurbished in 2013, is a stylish and very comfortable property boasting many original features. Soak up the sun in the walled garden, sit back and enjoy the sea views or explore the town centre and quaint harbour. Relax in front of one of the feature fireplaces or indulge in a soak in the roll-top bath. Large families can also take advantage of the toys and games supplied, plus a wide selection of DVDs. A week’s stay costs from £85 pp (£847 total).

Aspects Holidays’ properties still available for Christmas and New Year:

Calm the Christmas storm Porthleven

Captain’s Rest (sleeps four) and Stormgazer (sleeps six) offer panoramic views across the ocean. The cottages have been stylishly refurbished with impeccable attention to detail. Both enjoy a south-facing terrace, an impressive kitchen and breakfast area plus living room. Wander into the village to find a top selection of restaurants, pubs and shops – or amble down to the local beach. For the energetic, the South West Coast Path offers undulating scenic hikes, and a short drive away, are the popular towns of St Ives and Penzance. Both properties can be rented together to accommodate larger parties of up to ten people. A week’s stay at Captain’s Rest, arriving Saturday 20 December, costs £194 pp (£774 total). A week’s stay at Stormgazer, arriving Saturday 20 December, costs £139 pp (£834 total). (Both have been reduced by £250 for Christmas bookings.)

A home-from-home delight – St Ives for six

Situated in a quiet oasis, a few metres from the cobbled streets of St Ives’ characterful Downalong area, Shell Cottage (sleeps six) is ideal for a family or group of friends – and your furry pal is welcome, too. Embrace the fresh air with a stroll on Porthmeor beach before treating yourself to a mulled wine or local cider in one of St Ives’ many bars and restaurants. A week’s stay at Shell Cottage, arriving Saturday 20 December, costs £95 pp (£570 total). (Has been reduced by £100 for Christmas bookings.)

New Year chic – sleeps six in St Ives

Every effort has been invested in Pier View (sleeps six) to provide you with comfort and touches of luxury. Relax on the cosy sofas and gaze out over the sea, or sink your toes in to the gorgeous sandy beaches a short walk away. Let someone else do the cooking and stop off in one of the nearby restaurants to sample the catch of the day, before dressing up and taking part in the famous St Ives New Year street party. Or, if you fancy a quiet night in, you can always watch the fireworks over the harbour from the comfort of your three-storey townhouse. A week’s stay at Pier View, arriving Saturday 27 December, costs £337 pp (£2,024 total) (Has been reduced by £359 for New Year bookings.)
