Anyone for Polo?
Despite the global credit crunch, it seems as though polo is everywhere this summer (even in London) and is attracting bigger and more diverse crowds than ever. I was excited to see Jodie and Jack Kidd, Henry Brett, Sophie Anderton, Lord Lamont and Freddie Flintoff at the Polo in the Park in Fulham on Friday and I understand Princes Harry and William played a charity match at Ham Polo Club this weekend. For those that missed out this time, try the Toast Festival on Clapham Common at the end of June when Great Britain will take on South Africa, New Zealand and Australia; the classic Cartier International (26 July, Guards Polo Club) or the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup (19th July, Cowdray Park) or simply rock up to most polo clubs each weekend with a picnic to watch a match (entry is usually about £10 per car). If you want to get a little more involved, why not try an Eye Photographic Workshop (www.eyephotographicworkshops.com), and learn how to photograph the action with privileged behind-the-scenes access. It is a really great spectator sport! If you fancy giving polo a try, but are not keen on horses, there is bicycle polo in Brick Lane at 1pm each Sunday (on the basketball court on the corner of Shacklewell St). Polo is taking over the world! Polly Tracey

When I first started out travel writing, twenty years ago, I was writing a weekly round-up for The Independent. The first PR agency I ever tapped into for their clients' holiday ideas was Travel PR; they were always full of great suggestions for the column and responded quickly. Over the years, I've worked with them on many occasions and their close association with AITO has always paid dividends. Nothing has changed; some of the best story ideas I get herald from them, and their response time remains very speedy. They are a pleasure to work with.
