Alentejo at the ABTA Eastern Regional Meeting

Our Stories
The Alentejo Tourism Promotion Board (www.visitalentejo.pt/en) sponsored a successful ABTA Eastern Region meeting at London Stansted on 17th May, despite torrential rain causing the M25 to be more of a nightmare than usual.
L – R: Noel Josephides, ABTA Chairman, Sam Hawa, TAP Air Portugal and John Bennett, Colchester Travel, who is receiving his prize certificate for a three-night short break in the Alentejo for two people, inclusive of flights with TAP Air Portugal, 4-star B&B accommodation and car hire.
The ingredients for a good meeting of travel industry people seem to include a few glasses of excellent Cartuxa wine (it comes from the Alentejo’s capital, the medieval walled city of Evora), plus a prize draw of a three-night trip to the Alentejo for two people, staying in a 4-star hotel, B&B, with TAP Air Portugal flights to Lisbon and car hire all included.
Lucky John Bennett, of Colchester Travel, won the Alentejo trip for two, and Brian Rudd of Cambourne Travel picked up the runner-up prize of two bottles of delicious Cartuxa wine to take home.
