AITO old chairmenCelebrations in honour of AITO’s 40th anniversary saw friends old and new gather at the Royal Horseguards Hotel in central London.  A notable number of AITO Chairmen – past and present – were there, (photo, left) with the notable exception of Christopher Kirker, who was enjoying himself on the Isle of Skye.

Derek Moore and Simon Reeve - AITO 40thSimon Reeve, TV presenter extraordinaire, was the guest speaker (pictured with current Chairman Derek Moore in front of the anniversary cake, a gift from Travel PR), and gave an interesting glimpse into his life filming TV documentaries (and probably set a few hearts a-flutter – the girls were certainly queuing up to have photos taken with him!).

AITO WinnersIt was great to see Travel PR client Peter Sommer Travels win the top gong in the AITO Tour Operator of the Year 2015 awards.  Congratulations to AITO and to all winners – it was certainly a night to remember, as everyone agreed.
