AITO Announces Key Speaker Line Up at 2019 Conference

AITO, The Specialist Travel Association (www.aito.com) today announces key speakers at its 2019 Annual Overseas Conference (21 – 24 November) in Wrocław, Poland.
The annual conference offers AITO tour operators and AITO Specialist Travel Agents the opportunity to address and debate the big issues currently affecting the travel sector.
Sponsored by The Polish Tourism Organisation, the theme of this year’s conference is What’s the future?
High-profile speakers at the conference include:
Sir Vince Cable – Former leader of the Liberal Democrats and former Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills
Sir Vince returns to the AITO Overseas Conference for a second time, to update us on all things Brexit. He will deliver insight on potential scenarios despite the ever-moving deadline for the UK to leave the EU and the forthcoming election.
Craig Goldblatt – Philanthropist, Coach and International Speaker
Over the last 16 years, Craig has delivered in excess of 600 inspirational keynote presentations and leadership training programmes around the world. Craig’s ability to engage and challenge individuals to dig deep into their own purpose, intention, identity, values and beliefs promotes intellectual wellbeing and leadership growth.
Aneil Bedi – CEO of Brand Agents Ltd and former CEO of M&C Saatchi
Aneil has nearly 30 years of experience in developing and producing advertising and communication campaigns for travel, tourism and destination clients, and has advised many Governments on tourism and investment related issues. He takes a look at whether our current marketing strategies are fit for purpose.
Professor James Woudhuysen – Broadcaster, Author and Speaker
James is Visiting Professor in Forecasting and Innovation at the Department of Engineering, London South Bank University. Blending topical events with historical depth, he looks at forthcoming international developments in technology over the forthcoming 10 years, taking us to 2030.
Mark Rhodes – Entrepreneur, Business Mentor, Published Author, International Speaker and Trainer in Success
With his ‘no lecture, no PowerPoint’ approach, Mark makes sure his audience is constantly engaged with him as he lets us know that change is possible.
Says Chairman of AITO, Derek Moore: “We are developing a punchy and diverse conference programme this year to match the theme of What’s the future? Visiting Wrocław – 2016’s European City of Culture and the newly-crowned 2019 City of Literature – is a great opportunity for AITO members to explore a potential new destination for weekend breaks and longer holidays alike.
“The Polish Tourism Organisation has been extremely supportive in its organisation of this important annual event in AITO’s calendar, and we look forward to introducing members to Wrocław at the end of this month.”
Robert Andrzejczyk, Chairman of the Polish Tourism Organisation comments: “We are delighted to host the AITO Overseas Conference in Poland this year. The UK is already one of Poland’s largest markets, but our country has so much to offer that we strongly believe that Poland will attract even more tourists from the UK in the future. The AITO Conference will give UK travel industry experts the opportunity to experience the destination and we believe this will inspire them to create new holidays for their customers. We plan a truly memorable experience for AITO conference delegates.”

About Wrocław
Wrocław is a vibrant, historic city on the forefront of change in New Europe. The city’s history is a mish-mash of influences that speak of the varied cultural influences on a place that was at different times claimed by Prussia, Austria, Germany and, of course, Poland. Thanks to its history the city has become an open-minded, creative centre for international business and culture. International investments and entrepreneurship thrive in Wrocław and Lower Silesia, but the city offers much more than innovative business solutions – it is one of the most rapidly developing cultural centres on the cultural map of Poland and Europe. It was the winner of the European Culture Congress in 2016, and was recently designated the UNESCO Creative City of Literature, both of which will bring numerous cultural events to the city.
