Great event management comes only with experience and Travel PR organises many events for clients throughout the year, from large-scale media events such as the annual AITO Meets the Media event to more intimate affairs such as press breakfasts, drinks receptions, lunches and cocktail events.
AITO Meets the Media is an annual event, one of the biggest of its kind in the UK, attended by over 100 of the UK’s most coveted travel & lifestyle journalists, plus tour operators and tourist boards.
Press suppers work particularly well for our clients. Two press suppers are held annually on behalf of Pride of Britain Hotels at the consortium’s luxurious London hotels and are an extremely effective way of both ensuring that individual hotels benefit directly from contact with journalists, and of raising awareness of the Pride of Britain Hotels’ brand itself.
Around a dozen hoteliers (normally General Managers or owners) are invited to each supper together with a similar number of journalists (i.e. national travel editors, food and travel freelancers and bloggers) and a table plan is carefully put together with the ‘host’ hotels swapping places after each course so everyone mixes as much as possible. Suppers are a great way, of course, to demonstrate the hospitality for which Pride of Britain Hotels are renowned. With this in mind, each journalist receives a Pride of Britain Hotels’ goody bag, with a bespoke gift from each individual hotel, on departure.
