Made with true craftsmanship, Spain’s national treasure – acorn-fed 100% jamón Ibérico – is favoured by some of the world’s top chefs and restaurants. Cinco Jotas’ elaborate Christmas collection, with gifts ranging in price from £75 to £4,000, features several limited-edition items, designed in collaboration with Carmen Garcia Huerta, a Madrid-born international fashion illustrator who has previously worked with Hotel Sofia Barcelona, El Corte Inglés and Suarez watches, with her work appearing in Vogue, Cosmopolitan and L’Officiel, amongst others.
Taking inspiration from that sartorial classic, the silk scarf, Garcia Huerta used a composition formed by elements of the Spanish dehesa (meadows) on which the pata negra acorn-fed pigs roam. All of the aspects – such as acorns, leaves, butterflies, flowers, ladybirds and fruit – are carefully arranged in a vivid, kaleidoscopic layout and evoke the lush landscapes of Andalucía.
Cinco Jotas offers a Celebration Gift Set (RRP: £700) – an exquisitely- packaged luxury set featuring an original design and premium gold-stamped finish, containing an entire (bone-in) acorn-fed 100% Ibérico ham, a half piece of Ibérico loin and an Arcos carving knife.
The Cinco Jotas Tangram Box (RRP: £149) is a colourful gift box themed around one of the oldest Chinese board games: tangram, a seven-pieced puzzle with which players create beautiful shapes. The pieces can also be used as small plates on which to serve Cinco Jotas jamón, and a vibrant tangram pattern designed by Garcia Huerta adorns the lid, making it a beautiful decorative item which can be displayed on a coffee table or mantlepiece. The set contains 2 x 80 g sliced 100% Ibérico ham packs, 2 x 80 g sliced 100% Ibérico loin, 2 x 80 g sliced 100% Ibérico presa (shoulder cut), wooden tangram board with seven small pieces, a set of six tongs made from bamboo and a set of two napkins.
