  • Think it through carefully from all angles
  • Decide who is your spokesperson – and train them
  • Practice – put on crisis simulations
  • In a crisis pull in all the information you can as soon as you can
  • Think, ” How would I like to be dealt with in this situation?”
  • Consider your staff before, during and after a crisis
  • Practice some more

By their very nature, crises are unexpected, so being prepared is of paramount importance.
