Growing up in Cornwall gave me my first taste of the holiday industry, which I pursued with a BA degree in Hotel and Catering Management from the University of Portsmouth.

Having broadened my experience after graduation with stints in the retail, leisure and luxury goods sectors, I became the local authority tourism officer for South-West Cornwall, promoting the area to the domestic and overseas holiday market.

I then spent several years as a senior local government communications manager before joining Travel PR in July 2007– a dream opportunity to combine over 15 years of marketing and PR experience with my insatiable interest in travel.

Personal holiday highlights to date include a South African safari, climbing Sydney Harbour Bridge and sleeping in a stilt house off the Malaysian coast. I am also a keen skier and would love to try the slopes of Japan and New Zealand next in my pursuit of the perfect parallel!
